ONE SENTENCE SUMMARY


Adding patients to the care call list so we can check on them after their appointments.




BEST CASE SCENARIO IF WE ARE 100% CONFIDENT


Patients feel like we are looking after them, even after they've left the office. We can address problems while they are small. Our patients appreciate that we took the time to check in on them.



WORST CASE SCENARIO IF SOME OF US ARE NOT


Patients feel like just another number.


When they have problems, they don't know where to go so they call another dentist or go to the ER.



WHAT DOES 100% CONFIDENT MEAN?


  1. You know WHO to add to the care call list

  2. You know HOW to add them

  3. You know WHAT to say when you call them


HOW IT WORKS:



STEP 1: WHO to add to the care call list



1. Patients who received an injection



2. Patients who had a case delivered - crown, implant, denture, etc.



3. Patients who the doctor asked you to follow up with.


Example: We delivered a denture today, and doc wants you to check on them next week to see if they need adjustment


Example: Patient is in temp crowns, and doc wants you to call them next week to see if any adjustments are needed






STEP 2: HOW to add them to the care call list



2 different ways:


1. Add them through YAPI when you check them out. This is easiest if the patient is in the chair right now.


2. Add them through the YAPI patient finder. Use this way if they aren't currently in the office.









STEP 3: WHAT to say to the patient when you call them


Patients will show up in the Slack channel when they are supposed to be called.






3 part message:


1. The doctor asked you to call

2. Ask how they're feeling

3. Leave our contact info, including text message hotline




EXAMPLE:


Hi Mrs Smith, this is Mike from Smiling Dental. Dr. Bennett asked me to call you to see how you're feeling after your cavities were fixed yesterday. Let us know if you have any questions or if you need help. You can call us back at this number, or you can send us a text message at our emergency hotline if it's after hours at 844-804-3923.
