Pop-ups come in extremely handy when something should be brought to our attention regarding the patient or family as soon as we enter into their file.
What we want to avoid is putting things in this area that are not imperative. If we start using this field for many different things it will start to get overlooked.
When is a good time to create a pop-up? If the patient or family prefers a specific provider or for short term situations (pt has paperwork to sign at front desk at next visit, update phone number at next visit, etc)
